Join the North Brooklyn Hurricane Sandy community volunteers for a thank you reception from 6:30 - 7:30. Followed by a screening of ' This Time Next Year' for the Videology Local Filmmaker Showcase as the last stop on the "This Time Next Year" National Reslience Training Tour. 

 

ABOUT THE TOUR:

To prepare for severe weather events and to build community resilience, the This Time Next Year National Resilience Tour is hosting free and public events and screenings for the disaster response community in seven cities across The United States that are vulnerable to natural hazards.

 

ABOUT THE FILM:

This Time Next Year tracks the resilience of the Long Beach Island, NJ community for one year as they rebuild after 2012’s hurricane sandy.This Time Next Year is a poetic documentation of a shore community as they battle local politics, cope with personal tragedy, and band together in the face of transition. Directed by Jeff Reichert and Farihah Zaman and is supported by Tribeca Film Institute and Rockefeller Foundation.
